What it is

Braces use a system of brackets bonded to teeth and connected by a wire, which applies gentle continuous pressure to move teeth into a better position over time.

We offer metal braces and ceramic (tooth-coloured) braces. The mechanics are the same. Ceramic braces are less visible.

What to expect

Consultation: X-rays, photos, and study models. We map out the treatment and the expected timeline. You see the plan before anything is placed.

Placement sitting: Brackets are bonded to each tooth. The wire is threaded and ligated. This takes 60–90 minutes. The teeth feel tight for a day or two after — that’s the pressure working.

Monthly check-ins (every 4–6 weeks): Wire adjustments, checking movement, replacing elastics. Each visit is 15–30 minutes.

Debonding: When the teeth are where they need to be, brackets and wire are removed. This is a good day.

Retainer: After the braces come off, a retainer keeps the teeth in their new position. Wearing the retainer is not optional — without it, teeth move back.

Does it hurt?

Placement itself is not painful. The 2–3 days after each adjustment can be uncomfortable — teeth ache when they’re being moved. Soft food helps. Ibuprofen helps.

After a few months, most patients stop noticing the discomfort between adjustments.

Some brackets may rub on the inside of the cheek initially — wax covers this and it settles once the mouth adjusts.

How long it takes

12–24 months of active treatment, depending on how much movement is needed. Monthly appointments throughout. Retainer use continues after.

Cost

Starting from ₹30,000 — see full pricing.

Metal braces are on the lower end. Ceramic braces cost more. What determines the total cost: the complexity of the case and the duration of treatment.

This is a package rate — it covers the consultation, placement, all monthly appointments during treatment, debonding, and a retainer at the end. No separate billing for each check-in.

Who braces are for

  • Crowded teeth (not enough space, teeth overlapping)
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Misaligned bite — teeth don’t come together properly
  • Crooked teeth affecting appearance or cleaning
  • Children from age 11–12 when adult teeth are mostly in, and adults too (there’s no age limit)

What to know going in

  • Braces are a commitment. Missing check-ins delays treatment.
  • Cleaning takes more time — you need to brush carefully around brackets and floss with a threader
  • Some foods are off-limits (hard candy, very sticky food) for the duration
  • The result lasts if you wear the retainer faithfully

After treatment

The retainer is typically worn full-time for 3–6 months, then nights only, indefinitely. Most adults end up wearing it just at night long-term. If the retainer breaks or is lost, contact us — don’t wait.
